Public Workshops Set to Review and Discuss Spokane River Challenges.
The Center for Justice will be among a handful of Spokane-area conservation and river protection groups sponsoring a series of public workshops this fall for the purpose of updating and taking input from citizens on Spokane River issues.
Among the topics slated for discussion are wastewater treatment, river flows during low water summer months, the cleanup of toxic chemicals and metals, and efforts to protect native redband trout.
Our partners in the workshops are the Center for Environmental Law & Policy, Spokane Falls Trout Unlimited, Friends of the Aquifer, and Sierra Club’s Upper Columbia River Group. Everybody’s welcome and refreshments will be served.
